Spinel Safety Center: by and for safety experts<\/h2>\n

Spinel Security Center employs people from Security Region South Holland South. Security Region South Holland South doesn\u2019t just want to be prepared optimally for a disaster or crisis, it also wants to play an important part in the prevention of disasters and crises. By combining forces with partners, Security Region South Holland South provides physical safety, disaster relief and crisis management. Fire Brigade South-Holland South and the Regional Medical Emergency Preparedness and Planning offices are part of Security Region South Holland South.<\/p>\n

Spinel Security Center is the only official regional practice institute in South Holland South that serves as a training college for crisis management.<\/p>\n

How do we see the world?<\/h3>\n

In a community that is becoming more and more urbanized and more and more complex because of new threats, higher demands are set for safety professionals. In our aim for a safer society, everyone has to take responsibility for the prevention of and fight against calamities and crisis situations.<\/p>\n

What is our role in this matter?<\/h3>\n

We see it as our job to facilitate and secure safety as best we can. It is of the utmost importance to be able to educate, train and practice together in a professional manner. Therefore it is our mission to use innovative techniques in a conditioned environment to turn civilians, partners and security organizations into decisive security experts.<\/p>\n

What does the name\u00a0\u201dSpinel\u201d mean?<\/h3>\n

A new, more communicative name is part of a new future. Spinel is a red mineral (sometimes confused with a ruby), which gets its name from the Greek word for \u2018spark\u2019. Spinel Security Center is the place where rough crystal is polished and where the passion for controlling fire is passed on. \u2018Spinel\u2019 is also the name of the street where the Safety Center is located.<\/p>\n

What does the logo mean?<\/h3>\n

The logo is based on the crystal Spinel. The crystal is the embodiment of the different angles a safety professional can observe from. The rough crystal equals the safety professional, whose facets are also polished at the safety center. The crystal consists of a wireframe, which stands for a conditioned environment with many vantage points, variables and scenarios.<\/p>\n

Fortunately you won\u2019t find yourself in a large-scale crisis easily, as an important crisis partner. But that means it\u2019s difficult to prepare for a disaster. To put theory into practice you can work together in a multidisciplinary context at our safety center. It is a crossroads for theory and practice.<\/p>\n

The studied processes can be practiced on our training grounds, in an environment that appeals to your imagination. Practicing on our training grounds is an experience for everybody. It is essential to share our knowledge. It is also possible to experience various scenarios, based on topical matters, in a realistic environment.<\/p>\n

All partners are experts in their own field. Every chain partner has their own perception and experience. The safety center offers the opportunity to think of an effective solution with the chain partners. We are here for you, but we need you. Every individual experiences a situation differently. For one person there is an effective solution, for another there is a big problem. How do you go through a process together?
