Multifunctional building

We facilitate realistic practices at our safety center, with real heat, real smoke and real fire, under supervision of a professional instructor. This multifunctional building with three floors is suitable for every fire scenario you can think of. The building even contains an apartment block with indoor garage, a care center with hospital ward and a police-station with cells. The ultimate experience and practicing really realistically is at the center of this building. Also, this building has been certified as an exam location for fire-fighting by the IFV (the Dutch institute for safety).

Possible learning goals or core tasks

The multifunctional building is suitable for áll possible fire scenarios. In this building high and low pressure fire hydrants can be used. It is especially suitable for practices with the core tasks technical assistance and incident management hazardous materials. The following learning goals can be practiced realistically:

 

  • kitchen fire with fire penetration
  • lifting victims
  • working at heights
  • entrapment in a parking garage
  • incident management hazardous substances in a hospital or laboratory, in combination with evacuation exercises
  • practices at average incident level
  • deployment procedures complex buildings

It is our mission to use innovative techniques in a conditioned environment to turn civilians, partners and security organizations into decisive security experts. The first residence is therefore equipped with a gas-fired hearth and artificial smoke, a renewed method.

Possible learning goals or core tasks

EROs

This object is suitable for practices for EROs. The following learning goals can be trained realistically:

  • evacuation
  • pan fires
  • geyser fire

Fire brigade

This object is suitable for practices with fire. The following learning goals can be trained for firemen:

  • a kitchen fire, spread to the bedroom
  • an open fire in the bedroom, with gas-fired flashover
  • explore with compressed air
  • deploy teams of 6, 4 or 2
  • flashover of two houses
  • closed fire
  • closed fire with victims
  • closed fire with vertical fire spread

Residence 1 is also suitable for the core task: incident management hazardous materials. Scenarios with carbon monoxide and natural gas leakage can be practiced.

Competent social workers, professionally connected to the fire brigade or ambulance service, give instructions. On the base of common and realistic real-life examples they make sure the course is challenging and that there is emphasis on personal and measurable growth. All our teachers are NIBHV (Dutch institute for EROs) certified.

Make the difference!

Someone passes out, gets burnt or has a heart attack. Accidents can happen anytime, varying from minor to major, even with multiple victims. You can never be too prepared. Act now and make sure you know what to do! Dive into the world of first aid. With the help of professional instructors who have seen it all – like firemen, paramedics and volunteers who have saved many lives – you will be educated and guided optimally to provide first aid. The guidelines of the Oranje Kruis- the equivalent of the Federation of First Aid Training Organisations (FOFATO) – will be taken into account.

Head emergency response team

Head emergency response team

Be an expert on ERO policies

The Head of the Emergency Response Team takes care of the policies concerning ERO and executes ERO tasks assigned to the employer by the government. The Head ERO turn policies into concrete measures and makes sure that the policy is translated into actions. Measures can consist of:

– setting up and managing the ERO organization
– communicating with employees, employer and bystanders
– taking care of educating and training the EROs

Furthermore accidents are prevented and limited and there will be evaluations. Therefore learning goals are set and there will be personal attention for the professional education of the Head of the Emergency Response Team. The course member will be able to set up ánd maintain an ERO organization.
